K1 - Flashing Light Display - Our Most Economical TimerThis timer lets you know the order in which the cars finished with red flashing lights that can be seen from both sides. - ALL three of our timer models can send actual times to a computer with the PS (computer serial) option. It costs $40.00, and comes with a remote start switch (RS), USB to serial converter (USB), basic utility software and 40 foot computer serial cable (SC) (extra 40' long cables are available for $15.00).- Without Race Management Software, the PS will send a basic string of data to your computer showing car times that you will be able to see in hyperterminal. There is an example of this on our FAQ page.- The K-series timers have extra computer options availble. See the individual timers for more information.
We are the authorized agent for three software management packages that are completely compatible with our timers. Choose from DM-Derby Master Software ($50.00), GPR-Grand Prix Race Management Software ($60.00) and RT-Race Tender Software ($60.00).We cannot recommend which software package you should purchase, but there is a comparison matrix that was put together by Grand Prix Race Manager that might help with your decision.Here is a link to our software page, so you could visit the software websites to download a demo of their package.
It Takes 2 weeks for us to custom-build our timers and kits to fit your individual track. Add that to the shipping time, and it could be three weeks before you receive your timer. If you need your timer sooner than that, call us to determine if we can make your deadline! A rush charge of 10% may be added to the price of the order, as well as any expedited shipping charges.
You need to measure your track the same way you want your timer to face. The timer can face the start of the track or the end of the track, whichever you prefer. Stand as if you are looking at the timer display on the track and measure the finish line left to right. Measure from the left edge of the track to the center of each lane. We need the track measurements, even if you have ordered a kit. Please also include the total width of track. Sample 3 Lane Measurements: Lane 1: 2.5" Lane 2: 6" Lane 3: 9.5" Total: 12" We don't need your measurements if you have a Piantedosi, Best Track, or Aluminum Challenger Track.
You might need a Quick Mount if your track has side rails, or does not sit flat on the floor. For more information go to our Quick Mount page.

Plan ahead! Our Fast Track timers are custom-built to your original specifications. Unfortunately, we are not able to retrofit your old timer to fit your new track or add additional lanes. The cost would be prohibitive! So, we suggest buying a timer with the number of lanes you eventually want to have, and using spacers until you get the extra lanes. This will save you money in the long run.If you are buying a whole new track, you could also sell your old timer with the old track, and start fresh.
